A Day at the Movies series with Liberty Resources, supported by Highmark Wholecare, is an opportunity to come together and explore film through the lens of disability representation. We will gather on the fourth Tuesday of each month to watch a carefully selected movie that speaks to or reflects aspects of the disabled experience. Following the screening, we will engage in thoughtful discussions that examine the representation of disability in the film, addressing both the successes and the shortcomings we encounter.

These discussions will serve as a vital space for participants to express their thoughts and share personal insights, fostering a deeper understanding of how media influences societal perceptions of disability. Whether the film offers a positive portrayal, highlights issues of invisibility, or showcases the broader disability narrative, each session aims to uplift voices within our community.

Join us for an enriching experience where we can celebrate cinematic storytelling, reflect on essential themes, and advocate for more inclusive representations in film. Together, let's cultivate a community that feels empowered to voice their thoughts and experiences, reinforcing the pride we share as individuals with varied abilities.
